How to use

- 3If the final domain is unfamiliar — or it pushes you to log in, pay, or install an app — don't click it.
Staying safe
- Short URLs hide where they really lead. When the sender is unknown, always expand the link before opening it.
- Phishing links impersonate banks, couriers, and government sites with look-alike domains (e.g. paypa1.com). Read the final domain letter by letter.
- Urgent, fear-driven wording — "you won," "refund pending," "account suspended" — is a classic phishing tactic.
- A short link that bounces through several other short links (multi-step redirects) is often trying to evade detection. Treat it with extra caution.
- HTTPS (the padlock) does not mean safe — phishing sites use certificates too. What matters is whether you trust the domain itself.
- Never enter passwords, card numbers, or one-time codes (OTP) on a page you reached through a link you weren't expecting.
- When in doubt, don't click. Open the official app or site directly, and share the suspicious link with others to help prevent harm.
